This important region of your body is where all of your messages from brain to body have to flow through.
At some time in your life, you’ve experienced an accident or injury causing damage to your spine. This damage can tear loose connective tissue at the weakest part of your spine, where the head rests on the body. This is called the Craniocervical Junction or Upper Cervical region. This important region of your body is where all of your messages from brain to body have to flow through. The damage to this region allows the first bone, the atlas, to misalign and places pressure on the brainstem or upper spinal cord region. This pressure alters the nerve signals being sent below to the rest of the body.
The pressure at this region also distorts the muscles of the body, causing them to pull on one side of your body more than the other. Distortions are created all the way down your spine until one hip is raised standing up, and one leg is shorter lying down. Now your whole spine is misaligned due to the primary problem – the atlas subluxation complex.
Your doctor will perform a very gentle adjustment to correct this misalignment.
