N.U.C.C.A. stands for the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association. It is an objective way to look at the primary problem and allows doctors of chiropractic to access the craniocervical region in a very precise manner. NUCCA is one of the most advanced ways at determining and correcting the Atlas Subluxation Complex. By taking a 3D view of the spine, we can determine exactly how the first bone is misaligned in relationship to the head and rest of the body, giving us an exact blueprint on how to fix this problem.

Once your doctor has determined what the problem looks like, we’ll apply a gentle correction or adjustment to reduce or correct this misalignment taking the pressure off the nerves. This treatment doesn’t include ANY twisting, popping or cracking. You are in a neutral position and set up specifically to your misalignment. You will only feel a very light pressure (4-6 pounds of force) right behind one of your ears. This adjustment corrects the problem and will be measured using x-rays immediately after your first treatment. This ensures that we’ve corrected what we’ve measured, and will do further treatments at that time if you are not where we need you to be.

Your doctor may use his experience in other upper cervical techniques to help aid the analysis and correction. These other techniques may include Orthospinology, Atlas Orthogonal, and Blair. These analyses have been learned and may help in determining your problem as well.
